PPL(H) Helicopter Pilot Licence

PPL(H) is the first licence that lets you fly a helicopter on your own. No instructor on board, with passengers, on private flights. We run the training at our EASA ATO based at Radom-Piastów airport, on aircraft from our own fleet. For some it's a goal in itself, for others a step on the way to a professional CPL(H).

CPL(H) Practice

CPL(H) practical training: commercial helicopter pilot licence

CPL(H) practical training is the stage where a pilot stops flying for themselves and starts flying professionally. What matters is no longer just handling the machine, but flying precisely and repeatably, to the standard an employer expects. We run the course at an approved EASA training organisation at Radom-Piastów airport, and it ends with a practical flight test.

Integrated 0-CPL(H) course: from zero to a professional helicopter pilot licence

The integrated 0-CPL(H) course takes you from your first flight to a professional helicopter pilot licence. You start with no aviation experience and finish qualified to fly for payment. We run the course at our EASA ATO based at Radom-Piastów airport, as one continuous path, not a string of separately bought courses.

Extend your licence with night operations.

VFR Night

Night VFR Rating, night helicopter flying (Night Rating)

After sunset, a plain PPL(H) license stops being enough. The Night VFR Rating, described in EASA regulations as the Night Rating, lets a helicopter pilot legally take off, navigate and land after dark under visual flight rules. The course is short, but it changes how you work in the cockpit: most ground references disappear and the instruments take over. We run it at Radom-Piastów airport, at our ATO training centre.

TR Cabri G2

Type Rating Guimbal Cabri G2, helicopter type training

The Guimbal Cabri G2 is a two-seat training helicopter from the French manufacturer Hélicoptères Guimbal, one of the most common training helicopters in Europe. To fly it as pilot in command, you need a type rating entered in your licence. We run the course at our EASA ATO at Radom-Piastów airport, and it finishes with a skill test taken with an examiner.

Type Rating Robinson R44: helicopter type training

The Robinson R44 is one of the most common piston helicopters around, in rental fleets and in private hangars alike. A licence on its own is not enough to take the controls of this helicopter: you also need a type rating. We run the training at Radom-Piastów airport as an approved EASA ATO. The course covers 9 hours of theory, 5 hours flying with an instructor, and a skill test.

Type Rating Robinson R66, training on a turbine helicopter

The Robinson R66 is often a pilot's first turbine. The machine looks like an enlarged R44, but it handles differently and demands a different way of thinking about the powerplant. You earn the type rating at Radom-Piastów airport, at our EASA ATO, on the same helicopter we fly every day. The program covers 17 hours of theoretical training and 5 hours of practical flight training.

Type Rating AS350 (Airbus H125), helicopter type rating training

The AS350 is one of the most common single engine turbine helicopters, produced today as the Airbus H125. A rating on this type opens the door to a machine that carries external sling loads, flies passengers and operates high in the mountains. We run the course at our EASA ATO at Radom-Piastów airport, on our own helicopter of this type.

ATPL(H)/IR

ATPL(H)/IR theoretical training for helicopter pilots

ATPL(H)/IR theory is the highest level of theoretical training for a helicopter pilot who is thinking about flying professionally and about instrument flight. We run the course at our ATO based at Radom-Piastów airport, under an approved Part-FCL syllabus. Passing the theory at ATPL level also covers the theoretical knowledge for the CPL(H) license and the IR(H) rating, so one set of exams settles the theory for the whole career path ahead.

CPL(H) theoretical training, professional helicopter pilot licence

CPL(H) theory is what separates a private pilot from a professional one. The course covers 95 hours with an instructor and 535 hours of self-study, and ends with state exams across the full set of aviation subjects. We run it at our EASA ATO based at Radom-Piastów airport, for pilots holding a PPL(H) licence who want to fly helicopters for pay.
